Lynn showed a jig for tapering wings.

Tom Moore presented a Jajestyk P30 model, Campbell custom kit.  Cambered ribs, about 1/8 inch short so he had to make corrections.

Warren Delane, EZ Build kit of Canada Senior.

Jim Pearson, new tether car in the style of the old tether cars.

Jim's dad ran these back in the mid-40's.  McCoy 60 motor. Fiberglass body from mid-50's mold.  Runs about 110 MPH.  Has shutoff on top, usually triggered by broom.  Testing Jim's machining skills by making accessories.

PARADE OF PLANES

Reminder: If you've got more details about your project, email them to me and I'll include them here!

Jim Muether, Fourth model of his original Searcher series, Nelson 19 motor, 20k RPM, 33 ounces,  strap down model. Not yet trimmed.

Warren made two models from the plans Ding presented last month.

Werner Hoch, Flying Lawn Mower.  About 4 years old, custom designed. Ailerons on handle, elevators and rudder on main body.

The original had a "motor" made from a coffee can, but it was too tall and caused too much turbulence over the control surfaces.  He trimmed it down to about half height, fixing everything.

Rudder and Elevator at the back.

It was twisting, so Werner added ailerons to the handle.  Full four channel control!
Warren, Kiwi Pup, trainer for grandchildren, built from George's Black Hawk Models.  Had problems with decal, suggested fix is Krylon Crystal Clear.
